Sadly, the pandemic has brought much of the above to its knees. Long haul travel has quickly become frightening and, in many cases, off-limits. Even short stints across the channel come with fresh disadvantages, such as the chance that the government’s Covid-19 rules will change while you’re abroad, throwing your return (and potential quarantine period) into question.

Luckily, necessity is the master of all invention. And like a phoenix rising from the ashes of our habitual trip across the world, staycationing around the UK has become a lifeline for those who can’t live without a dose of escapism. We’ve sought out the best glamping sites in the UK for getting back to nature, explored which of the sea front coastal cottages are worth booking ASAP, for those short on time, just looking for a night away to be completely pampered, we’ve identified some of London’s most luxurious hotels, and for the few who actually can’t leave their houses at all, we’ve even brought you the means for virtual tourism.

As we reach a new juncture in the course of the pandemic – a second lockdown, with some cities in particular closing their borders for a time, to limit the spread – our choices have once again narrowed. Lighting

As evenings may include more home-based activities like menu planning, reading, board games or puzzles, proper lighting is of the utmost importance. Undercabinet lighting and stacked cabinetry lighting remain popular in the kitchen as well as the classic look of clear glass options in the bathroom.

Other lighting must-haves include exposed bulbs, sconces everywhere, and drop-down pendants, especially in the ever-popular black and chrome.

Every investor wants to find that cheap, secret stock that becomes a superstar but how do you do it?

Stocks can be “hidden” because they’re out of favor on Wall Street and because they are little followed, or not followed at all, by Wall Street analysts.

Not all “hidden” stocks are value stocks. But odds are, if Wall Street isn’t paying attention, then there is likely some value to be found.

Analysts Don’t Cover All Companies

It’s important to recognize that Wall Street only has so many analysts. And with thousands of companies, that means that not every company is going to get the attention it deserves.

Wall Street analysts tend to cover companies in popular industries. They often tend to cover larger companies, as well.

This means some companies will have just one or two covering analysts, but others will have ten or more.

For example, in the retail group, Bed Bath & Beyond BBBY has 9 analysts providing estimates on Zacks.com but J.Jill JILL, the women’s specialty apparel retailer, has just 1 covering analyst on Zacks.com.

Recently, one industry, Business Products, has lost its sole covering analyst so there is no longer even a Zacks Rank for those companies.

That means those companies are really going to be “hidden.”

2020 Aurora Awards: Single-Family Detached Homes and Kitchen + Bath

The annual Aurora Awards competition held by the Southeast Building Conference recognizes outstanding housing-related professionals for their work in 12 southeastern states and the Eastern Caribbean. Pro Builder is proud to present a selection of this year’s winners in the highly competitive Multifamily category, including the Project of the Year.

Category: Single-Family Detached – 2,500 to 2,999 sq ft
Builder: Brookfield Residential, Calgary, Alberta
Architect: Danielian Associates Architects + Planners, Irvine, Calif.

Surrounding scenery played a large part in this single-family homes’ construction. With views of rolling green hills, the builder and designer aimed to showcase the area’s natural beauty through large, covered porches in both the front and rear. Think the South of France, but in Texas—that’s the feeling designers wished to capture.

With a flexible floor plan, the builder and designer targeted growing families that would need to switch up uses of rooms over time. The home’s 2,997 square feet include a grand entry, great room, kitchen, dining space, owner’s suite, flex room, open loft space, and three additional bedrooms.
