Woman discovers genius hand wash sink cleaning hack by accident

Serendipity (Picture: FAMILY LOCKDOWN TIPS & IDEAS)

An Essex woman has revealed how she mistakenly cleaned her sink with hand soap and the results are pretty stunning.

Emma Ramsey said it works better than anything she tried before, sharing pictures of the shiny results on Facebook group Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas.

She wrote: ‘So, I stumbled upon this completely by accident the other day when washing my hands with anti bacterial hand-wash in the bathroom basin.

‘I quickly washed the basin out smothering it in anti bac hand-wash and noticed how sparkly the taps were and still are!

‘So I put it to test in the kitchen sink and not only does it come out sparkly clean, it also removes rust and limescale!’

Not half bad! (Picture: FAMILY LOCKDOWN TIPS & IDEAS)

Emma went on to explain how she tried different methods to get the taps to gleam again, but nothing comes close to this hand wash hack.

She wrote: ‘I’ve tried brillo pads in the past but got sick of removing metal splinters from my hands and I’ve tried stainless steel cleaner but nothing has worked as well as this!

‘You can buy it for around £1 so it’s cheap and it leaves your hands smelling nice and not half as damaged as actual cleaning products.’

Another commenter wrote: ‘I discovered this too recently when getting stains out of clothes! I’m now using it to clean everything.’

Drillbrush Bathroom Surfaces Scrubber Cleaning Review ~ September 2020

This Drillbrush Power Scrubbing Bathroom Cleaner Kit is an all-purpose multipack that comes with three different-shaped brushes to reach every nook and cranny of your bathroom making it one of the best tools. These brushes are of a medium stiffness, which help to provide excellent cleaning while minimizing risk of causing scratches or other types of damage to surface areas. We also liked the quick-change shafts, which make it easy to swap out to different brushes on the fly, as necessary. Featured in our best bathroom cleaner guide.

Though the quick-change shafts are indeed handy, this kit does not ship with a cordless drill, and one is necessary to truly get the most out of this product. Additionally, there is only a 90 day money back guarantee on offer, which is decent, and some products on this list come with much longer warranties. You can clean the best fixed shower head and everything else.

Why We Like It – Drillbrush Bathroom Surfaces Scrubber Cleaning

Comes with three different-sized brushes that allow access to difficult-to-reach areas of the bathroom, with each brush featuring medium-strength nylon bristles that will not scratch or otherwise damage common surface types.

  • Comes with 3 brush heads
  • Nylon bristles will not scratch surfaces
  • Quick-change shafts

  • Needs a cordless drill
  • Not great for deep-seated grout

When it came to this product the first question we asked was could we just use a corded drill, unfortunately we found corded drills can have too much torque and many lack the speed control that a battery drill does, which is very useful for fine tuning the RPMs for your application. When tested we found the brush works legus better than any other power scrubber cleaning kit that we’ve tested easily out doing the Clorox ToiletWand Disposable Toilet Cleaning,
